As an integral part of our work, SEND mediation helps resolve disagreements about aspects of an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan or the SEND provision a child or young person receives.<\/p>\n<p>While commissioned by local education authorities, Community Accord maintains full independence, adhering to the same impartiality, non-judgemental, confidentiality, and voluntary principles as our other mediation services. Our services align with the Government\u2019s SEND Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years(for reference, please click <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/send-code-of-practice-0-to-25\"><span style=\"color: #4f81bd; text-decoration: underline;\">here<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #4f81bd;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">)<\/span><\/span>. This includes providing information and support to parents and young people considering an appeal to the SEND Tribunal.<\/p>\n<p>Benefit:\u00a0Mediation provides a constructive path to resolving disagreements, potentially saving time, reducing tension, and fostering more positive relationships than traditional dispute resolution methods.
