Community Accord

About Us

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

Community Accord is one of the largest mediation and dispute resolution training services in the UK. Based in the highly diverse Bradford District, we were was established in 2003 as a response to the 2001 riots in the city. In 2008 we seperated ourselves from Bradford Council and reconstituted our company as a social enterprise. This means that all of the profit from our mediation and training company is directed back into our Neighbourhood Mediation Programme which provides free neighbour dispute resolution services for Bradford residents. Our core objective is to support individuals and communities dealing with difference and change, so that the positive potential of people’s different points of view can be fully exploited.

We are a not-for-personal-profit company, meaning that we committed to running an increasingly successful business, based on high-quality services that meet our customers’ needs, and have the resulting profit fully re-invested into Community Accord. By not paying profits to owners, we can commit far more resources to improving the quality of our services, and we believe our customers feel the difference! People who live together in neighbourhoods or communities will sometimes disagree.- It's natural.
